The complete talk, organized by section.

Host Intro (Gene Kim)

All right, fantastic. So that concludes the talks for today, and I hope you share my enthusiasm for how AI is reshaping not just technology organizations, but the entire organization around them.

I had made the claim this morning that I genuinely believe that as much value that DevOps, and cloud, and SRE had, I just have moral certainty that AI is going to be 100 times bigger, and maybe more important and more scary is it's going to be 100 times faster. So AI is changing the shape of the teams, the teams around them, and it's even blurring the roles of everyone across the entire organization.

So as great as the talks were today, the talks tomorrow are just as good or maybe even better. So prepare for an amazing day tomorrow.

So just a couple of housekeeping notes. One is, please help us give feedback to us. You can rate the talks — we made it easier than ever for you to quickly rate the talks. You'll get an instruction on how to do that in the Slack channel, or you can use a QR code.

That was one, two. Okay, fantastic.

And so let me wrap up by saying: I've made the observation and the claim that whatever's happening because of AI is happening 100 times faster than it happened in DevOps. And so that means we all have to be experimenting and learning, and the only thing that's better than that is by hanging out with other people who are experimenting and learning. And so I had mentioned this morning that the audacious challenge that Andy made to me is, what would it take to do what the DevOps movement did but do it so much faster and do it in a decentralized way like the DevOps guys did?

And again, I thought that was a challenge that was so audacious, so bold, that that's what I'd like to solve. So Andy, tell us how one gets involved and what we can do for you.

Andy Ramirez

Yes, it's super complicated. It involves blood tests and passports and — no, I'm just kidding. You just go to the website and let us know you want to join. If you're an engineering leader, leader of leaders, and you're interested in helping to navigate this uncharted water that we're heading into, this is the time to come participate. So go to the website, submit the application. We'll get you on, we'll get you a profile, all the things. Also, you can just come talk to me, come talk to Gene. You can tell we're a little bit passionate about this project.

Gene Kim

By the way, if I could say one last thing on that — I think of it as like a global, single namespace notebook for all the experiments going on. This is where you record the experiments, it tells what happened, and this is how we learn from each other. All right, over.

Andy Ramirez

Yeah, and actually related — and you can find it on the website as well — as of yesterday, we now have live the AI Engineering Leadership Playbook, which is a practical handbook for how to do all of these things you saw today, because we will convert that into content, practical application methodologies, and things. So go check it out. A lot of the forum papers and the authors of those, as well as the Spring Summit, are all part of this. So really excited to do that.

And then, because I love closing on a high note, I get to invite you all to have a drink with me. So that's it. You don't have to go far — out in the lobby. Have a great day. Thank you for today. Really excited for tomorrow.

One membership. The whole library.

Every book and audiobook, the video library, the courses, and the MCP. The papers stay free.
